CAHHS were invited to undertake a trial test pit in a rear garden located in the rear garden of a dwelling house located in the village of Cliffe at Hoo in Kent.
The house is situated in Reed Street which currently contains houses dating from Early 18 th century through to modern construction plus one later 16 th century cottage in the adjacent Wharf Lane. Following results of a possible feature discovered by CAHHS during a test pit the society dug in 2014. This year we are looking to extend the test pit into a wider excavation. All members of the community are invited to join us.
